Marseille – Wedding
Wedding in the center of the old port of Marseille
Accompanied by my second photographer and friend, Matthieu Vasquez, our day as wedding photographers started in Marseille. Marseille, an ancient Greco-Roman city is the capital of southeastern France and Provence. It was founded around 600 B.C. by Greek sailors from Phocaea in Asia Minor, which is why it is known today as the “Phocaean City”. Marseille is known for its strong character, its singing accent, the aioli, the pastis, the sea and the sun. From the Old Port to the Calanques, passing by the “Bonne Mère”, Marseille is a surprising territory. Its architecture, its culture and its population make it one of the most cosmopolitan cities in France.
Wedding preparations Marseille
It is in this cosmopolitan city that C&F got married, in the beautiful town hall of the Old Port of Marseille. Celebrating a Jewish wedding in such a mythical place was an incredible experience for the photographer that I am.
Château Grand Boise – Wedding reception in the heart of Provence
We then headed to the Chateau Grand Boise, to celebrate a Jewish wedding. The Château Grand Boise is a wine estate and a wedding reception venue renowned for its Provencal farmhouse at the foot of the Sainte Victoire, the land of Pagnol; great weddings take place there every year.
Our bride chose an elegant dress created by the famous Rime Arodaky. The beautiful cotton paper stationery is the work of Stephanie – Graphikkart.
The Jewish ceremony took place under the direction of the Rabbi. The Chuppah was decorated, designed and created by Virginie Sellem – L’art qui pousse, an incredible florist from the South East of France. After the 7 prayers and the broken glass ceremony, it was time for celebration and joy with tears, dancing and laughter from the guests.
Couple Session
Following the dancing Mazel Tov of the Jewish ceremony of the afternoon, my friend videographer Guillaume Evrard gave rhythm to the couple session in a very funny blues Rock spirit that I love. I am known as a photographer for my soft, elegant, bright style and my fashion touches, but in the intimacy, I am finally myself quite Rock.
An incredible festive atmosphere
The cocktail took place before an evening animated by the incredible Band SWAN. This international orchestra composed of many singers and musicians animate events and concerts in the biggest European weddings. I had the chance to work with them as the band’s private photographer at a wedding of Lebanese Jewish billionaires at the Sporting of Monaco.
Thank you to Charlotte and Frederic for their smiles, their emotions and their kindness.
