Provence – Destination Wedding

A wonderful wedding in the heart of Provence. Regina & Miguel are from the Philippines and they chose to get married in the land of impressionist painters such as Cézanne, near the famous city of Aix-en-Provence. It is at the hotel “Le Pigeonnet” in the heart of Aix-en-Provence that Miguel and Regina prepared themselves.

Thanks to the work of Claire Yossman, their wedding planner, M&R had the chance to get married in one of the most famous Basilicas in the world, the great Basilica of Saint Mary Magdalene in Saint-Maximin.
This Basilica is known for housing relics of Mary Magdalene in its crypt. It is a highly symbolic place and quite fantastic by its size and architecture.

Regina chose to wear a majestic dress from Monique l’huilier. The lace work, the two wings of veils and the impressive size of the dress was perfectly in line with the impressive size of the church. The floral decoration of the stairs by L’art qui pousse was sumptuous.

The Catholic ceremony had some particularities due to the Asian origin of our bride and groom. A necklace of coins surrounding both bride and groom covered with a large veil.

The rest of the wedding took place at the Chateau de Robernier, a luxurious 21st century fairy tale chateau, situated in the middle of vineyards and century old olive trees.

After a couple session full of love and laughter, the bride and groom took place under a tent decorated by L’art qui pousse. Antique tableware, candlesticks, hangers and a voluptuous floral decoration. The rest of the meal was punctuated by the dishes of chef Roland Paix and the music of this English quartet based on the Riviera Troubardoursriviera.
